Varsity College Charity Golf Day

We were delighted to sponsor a hole, prize and take part in the Varsity College Golf Day.

Often we are creating and producing marketing collateral for other company’s golf days, but last week we had the opportunity to create our own branding for the hole we sponsored for the golf day.

Varsity College Golf Day

The Varsity College golf day was held last Friday at the Victoria Country Club, one of the most picturesque golf courses in KwaZulu-Natal.

As part of Varsity College’s ongoing community engagement programme and in association with Nal’ibali. The golf day was in aid of raising funds and awareness for this fantastic national reading campaign.

Nal’ibali, an isiXhosa word meaning “here’s the story”. This national reading-for-enjoyment campaign is to spark children’s potential through storytelling and reading. The campaign seeks to motivate and support caregivers and communities to make stories and reading part of everyday life.

Nal’ibali National reading campaign

Research shows that children who love to read and who are read to by adults are more likely to attain educational success. With this in mind, Varsity College partnered with Nal’ibali in an attempt to create a national culture of reading.

‘A child who reads is an adult who thinks.’

It was a great opportunity to use our time and talents to support this great cause! Our golf could have been a little better, but a good day was had by all who attended.
